Questions

Which iPhones does it work on?

Videos are read by Apple Intelligence, so you need an iPhone 15 Pro or later (or an iPad with M1 or later) with Apple Intelligence turned on. Recipe websites work on any iPhone.

Is it a subscription?

No. Your first recipe is free, then one payment unlocks Whiskaroo forever. Featured recipes in the app are always free.

What if the video never says the recipe?

Whiskaroo listens to what the cook says, reads the words on screen and checks the caption and the creator's website. If there really is no recipe, it tells you instead of guessing.

Can it get things wrong?

Yes, sometimes. Apple Intelligence isn't perfect, so check amounts against the original, and always check allergens and that food is cooked safely.

Why does the voice sound robotic?

Whiskaroo uses the voices on your iPhone. For a natural one, download a Premium voice (for English, Lee, Australian) in Settings › Accessibility › Spoken Content › Voices. Whiskaroo switches to it automatically.
